Ingredients:
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups all purpose flour (corn, almond, or any other flour of you choice will work also)
- 2/3 cup warm water
- 1/4 tablespoons oil (any kind)
Directions:
- Mix 1/4 tbs oil and 2/3 c warm water in a glass cup. Heat in microwave on medium for 1 minute. Set aside.
- In a large bowl, measure out 2 c of flour. Add 1/2 tsp salt.
- Get a clean cookie sheet out. Take a damp rag or paper towel and wipe down cookie sheet.
- Take a small towel (it needs to cover the whole cookie sheet) and get it damp. Lay it on top of the cookie sheet.
- Pour the water and oil mixture into the bowl with the salt and flour.
- With clean hands, knead together the ingredients. make sure that all of the ingredients are incorporated together. (you wouldn't want a tortilla to be too salty or too oily!)
- Take the dough and make medium sized balls. (look below)
- Put the balls on the cookie sheet. Cover with the damp towels.
- Let sit for 30 min. You want to keep the balls damp.
- Heat griddle at 350 degrees F.
- Flatten the balls and roll the out so they are round and smooth.
- Put them on the griddle and flip. Make sure that they are crisp and they are not burnt. It is okay that they bubble and have brown dots on them.
